Fist Full of Script: A Through The Breach Campaign - Session One

Previously on Fist Full of Script:

We first met out fated heroes earth side, standing in a small train station with all that remained of the residents of New Haven.  About 28 people were inside, waiting for the train that would take them to their new life through the breach in Malifaux.  Not a single one of them could remember what exactly happened to their old town, all that they know is that it was destroyed and only a handful of people survived.

While the fated waited, Marek took a walk around the station and took down some "Wanted" posters from a notice board.  Included was one for an outlaw named Dutch.  While looking round the room he also catches the glint of sunlight of metal from out the window.  When he looks he sees a large bird fly off, with the same glint.

C.M.O.T Dibbler, the former New Haven Mayer (retired) and General Store owner is going around chatting with everyone, trying to reassure people.  He stops by the group and exchanges pleasantries.  Shortly there after a heavy armored prison stage coach arrives outside.  The guards are far from friendly.

The train pulls into the station a short time later.  Guild Guard Captain Johnson steps off and it is clearly evident that he is not happy about being forced to transport to people of New Haven to Malifaux for free.  The group realize that they cannot bring any weapons on board the train, so they all come up with their own solution.    With a good conceal flip, Marek was able to hide his rifle down his trouser leg, and acted like he had a limp.  Edward managed to convince the young rookie guard that was checking everyone, that his riffle was in actuality a stylized walking stick.  John's character (I cant find his character sheet with his name) hid his sword inside his luggage.

While boarding the train, the prisoners from the stagecoach were lead off, revealing one to be Dutch.  Dutch looks like he is having a great time and tells everyone to "enjoy the trip".

The journey  starts smoothly, but soon goes pear shaped when Dutch's gang breaks him out of the prison cart.  In the ensuring firefight, a Guild Guard tries to shoot one of the outlaws, misses and hits Dibber in the chest.

Edward rushes over and with a good Doctor skill check, was able to stabilize C.M.O.T.  The shooting of one of their own (and maybe a little preexisting animosity to the guild) made Edward choose a side.  He lowered his riffle and shot the Guild Guard down.  The rest of the party joins him, the the guards are quickly over run.

Dutch and his crew then proceed to rob the train, but only killing any Guild officials they come across, no civilians.  During the robbery the train conductor is shot and killed accidentally, and the engine is damaged.  The train speeds up and hurtles through the breach.  Dutch and his gang detach the prison car and make their escape.

The group make their way to the front of the train, quelling a panic driven riot in the process.  As the uncontrolled train makes it into Malifaux, the fated detach the other cars, saving all on board.  They then use a combination of Marek's engineering knowledge and Edwards new magical abilities to stall the engine and bring the train the to safe stop.

The group is soon surrounded by guild guards and arrested, assuming that they were the hijackers.  However one of the other passengers that down explained what happened and vouched for you.  Then along came Special Agent Bohannon, who tells the guards to let you all go.  He instructs you that he is your point of contact with the Guild now that you are breachside.

You briefly meet a curious person that seems overly friendly.  Bohannon calls him Scam-likely and  warns you to stay away from them. Bohannon says he is going to take you to the Mended Drum in the Shades, where you will find out where you will be living...
